Senior Terraform Developer with Security Experience

We provide cloud migration, cloud managed services, and managed security services for US Federal and DOD Agencies.

We are seeking a proficient Terraform Developer with multi-cloud experience across AWS, Google Cloud (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing and implementing secure, reusable infrastructure using Terraform to support public sector customers with security, compliance, and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure and scalable infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP using Terraform.
  • Develop modular, reusable, and tested Terraform code that supports automated provisioning of cloud resources.
  • Integrate Terraform with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab) to enable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at scale.
  • Implement policy-as-code frameworks using tools like OPA, Sentinel, or native cloud policy services.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure that infrastructure meets FedRAMP, CMMC, and StateRAMP requirements.
  • Document infrastructure designs, modules, and deployment procedures to support audit and operational readiness.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure provisioning issues across cloud environments and support root cause analysis.
  • Stay current on best practices for Terraform, cloud architecture, and secure automation in regulated industries.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform, including module design, workspaces, and state management.
  • Proven experience automating infrastructure on at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); all three preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IAM, networking, and encryption services across cloud providers.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with policy-as-code tools like Sentinel, OPA (Open Policy Agent), or Azure Policy.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, CMMC, or NIST 800-53.
  • Ability to work independently with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver production-grade automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with automation platforms like Ansible or Pulumi.
  • Experience supporting public sector or highly regulated customers.
  • Familiarity with container infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS, GKE, AKS) and automating security controls for those workloads.

Job Type: Full-time

Remote – US Based

Salary Range: $180,000 – $220,000
