We are seeking talented DevSecOps Engineers, to be part of our team of cloud, security, and compliance experts, playing a crucial role in ensuring the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of AWS-based applications and systems. Responsibilities/Duties:

As a leading consulting firm specializing in secure cloud solutions, stackArmor is seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for our diverse client base, with a strong focus on Kubernetes using Amazon EKS and a focus on Terraform for Infrastructure as Code. This role requires strong client-facing skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with clients to understand their business requirements and technical needs related to cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) for various client projects.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC), with a primary focus on Terraform, ensuring consistency and repeatability across client environments.
  • Collaborate with client development teams to improve application deployment and release processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues on AWS for clients, ensuring high availability and uptime.
  • Monitor system performance using Amazon CloudWatch, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimization and scalability within the AWS ecosystem for our clients.
  • Implement and maintain robust monitoring and logging solutions using Amazon CloudWatch Logs, Splunk, or similar, customized to client requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of internal best practices and methodologies for AWS and DevOps consulting.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS and DevOps trends and technologies.
  • Participate in after-hours support as needed for client projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • US Citizen with an existing US Government Public Trust clearance or the ability to hold such a clearance with the ability to pass background checks.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Demonstrable experience in a consulting or client-facing role especially in the public sector, government space.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and concepts, specifically within the context of EKS.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on Amazon EKS.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
  • Experience with AWS CI/CD services (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy).
  • Strong expertise in Terraform for managing AWS infrastructure is essential.
  • Solid understanding of core AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, etc.).
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols within the AWS environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate).
  • Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD, CKS).
  • Experience with AWS managed databases (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora).
  • Experience with AWS security best practices (e.g., IAM roles and policies, security groups, AWS WAF).
  • Deep understanding of Terraform modules, state management, and best practices for large-scale deployments.
  • Experience working with multiple clients concurrently.
  • Experience developing proposals and statements of work.
  • Experience with other IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Pulumi) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with or experience using: JFrog Artifactory / GitLab / GitHub / Splunk Cloud / Atlassian products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
